About us
Welcome to Lakay Anite, where jewelry is spicy, clay is classy, and everything is just a little bit extra - just like Sunday dinner.
We create handcrafted jewelry and accessories inspired by Haitian food because, let's be real - pikliz and bannann* are a whole lifestyle. Lakay Anite is more than just handmade jewelry—it's a tribute to heritage, flavor, and bold self-expression.
Behind the brand is me - Annie, a proud Haitian creative, snack connoisseur, and clay whisperer with Caribbean spice. I started Lakay Anite in honor of my grandmother (the legendary Manmie Anite), who could cook, create Insta-worthy bites for Sunday dinner, and correct you with just one look. Her spirit lives in every design - bold, warm, and not afraid to stand out. This brand brings together two powerful forces: Haitian culture and artistic craft.
A fork and a paintbrush.
Each earring and keychain is handcrafted with care, drawing inspiration from the rich colors, textures, and flavors of Haitian cuisine - think pikliz, bannann, paté, and the pots and pilon* of our kitchens. We mix art and cooking like épis in a pilon* - handmade, heartfelt, and seasoned to perfection.
At Lakay Anite, we believe in being:
Bold and spicy like pikliz,
Golden like bannann.
Savory, stylish, and straight-up Haitian.
So, if you are bold, golden, you're in the right lakay/home.
Welcome home!
Annie
